I keep coming back to this restaurant because of their salads. They are very tasty, especially the Beef Salad. This restaurant has so many good dishes such as fried rice, basil tofu, and grilled chicken with rice. The staff are always friendly, and they provide quick service.
Best Pho and service!!! Came at lunch time and was sat right away. Pho came out quickly and the waitress' were sooo attentive.
I came here on a Wednesday for lunch at 12:30 pm with my friend and it was fairly busy but we got seated within minutes. The restaurant is on the smaller side and only 2-3 workers from what I noticed. I was looking at their menu and nothing special stood out so I decided to try their hu tieu thap cam (#46) and a spring roll order to share with my friend. The food came out within 5-10 minutes so service was extremely quick! I took one sip of the soup and my mouth dropped. It was hecking good like wow I was kind of blown away. It was so flavorful and delicious that I almost drank all of the broth at the end of the meal. The soup came with a variety of seafood and some slices of lean pork. The seafood was great and I loved the little quail eggs that came with it too. The lean pork slices wasn't my favorite so I made my friend eat it. And you can't go wrong with spring rolls but I think it was just so so! Overall, this restaurant isn't bad at all! I had a great experience and I would come back to try their other dishes.
Hands down some of the tastiest pho we've had in San Jose! The broth is super delicious && always CONSISTENT! Which is a big plus in our book. The Thai tea as well is perfectly balanced not too sweet & not too strong! One thing that caught our attention was that after 2-3 visits the owner would come by our table and personally ask how our food was & if there's anything else that she could bring us, not only the owners but the staff alike are all so attentive & are constantly checking in making sure all is well! With that being said there's been 1 or 2 instances where we waited a bit longer for our food to come. Over all we truly love this little hidden gem and WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT!
The service was amazing here. The server came around often to refill our water cups. The food was good. The decor inside is really vibrant and colorful. This place was the first time and it's not bad. They have plenty of indoor and a few outdoor seatings. Credit cards are accepted here.
Great place to get a Bahn Mi! I got a Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi. So delicious! The chicken was an entire piece of chicken instead of chopped up little pieces. I prefer it as an entire piece like this because when it's all chopped up I feel the meat isn't as good quality and is mostly fat. But this place is quality. It came with some chips and an Iced tea. You can also choose a soda instead of the tea. This all cost about $13. Service was so friendly and helpful! Bathroom was super clean. I'll definitely be back!
A Dông Pho and Coffee has become a family favorite so I'm updating my rating to 5 stars. We visit at least once a month, often twice. While my family has tried, and loves, almost everything on their menu I walk through the door and they know to start an order of Banh Xeo for me. Often I will order a Banh Mi, Garlic Chicken Wings and a bowl of rice if I'm in a particularly hungry mood but my favorite waitress always smiles and says "Banh Xeo?" When she sees me walk through the door. Im a creature of habit. I'm also hooked on their Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Cafe Sua Da).
Lunch spot and we stopped in for a tasty meal. We had the cha gio, the chicken wings with garlic, no. 26 pho with meatball, flank steak, tendon, brisket and the Bahn mi. Everything was very good and flavorful. We will be back for another meal soon!
Ordered by phone at the last minute for takeout. They said it would be a 15-20 minute preparation. By the time I arrived, it was ready to go. The phở takeout comes only in 1 size, large. From my receipt, there was an extra $1 charge for each of the phở. I'm assuming it's for the takeout containers. The broth was ridiculously salty today. Also had the phở ấp chảo. They packaged the fried noodle nest in a separate bag and advised me to keep it open to prevent the item from becoming soggy on my trip home. That was considerate of them. The food item was nice and crunchy. It's still my favorite item from here.
Never got to try this spot when it was Sonny's Cafe, but there were lots of people coming in and out when we've passed by this plaza, so we finally decided to check it out. Solid Vietnamese food overall, and it's a great additionhe neighborhood. We'll be coming back! Ambiance inside is nothing special, and from the looks of it, not much was done to change the appearance from when the restaurant prior closed down as the floors still have some marks. Food took a while to come out, and we noticed some tables were served sooner for the same items despite coming after us. Vegetarian options essentially include tofu only (no mushrooms, etc.) PHO TAI NAM GAU: 4.5/5 Literally tasted like my mom's pho! You can tell the broth is homemade, and it's super tasty. Perfect balance between salty and sweet. It could've used a bit more nuoc beo (fatty stuff from the pho broth) to be a tad bit richer, but overall it was great and tasted light. There's a decent amount of meat as well! I forgot to ask for the rare steak to be on the side, but I would recommend doing that so it can be more tender. GOI CUON CHAY: 3.5/5 Decent goi cuon, and the peanut sauce was pretty good. There wasn't anything special to this though as the only vegetarian aspect was tofu. We wish there could've been mushrooms or something else to add to the protein. My mom got the pho rau cai with chicken broth, and she was pretty impressed! Great option for anyone wanting more veggies or a faux-veg diet.
